Data Broker Removal (DBR) Overview
(DBR feature upgraded May 2026)
Privacy is not a one-time event, but an ongoing battle. To better protect your personal information from being sold or exploited, we have redesigned our Data Broker Removal (DBR) feature as of May 2026 to be more resilient, reliable, and scalable.
Why the upgrade?
As data brokers deploy increasingly aggressive tactics to block removal requests, traditional automated tools are failing to keep pace. To stay ahead of these evolving threats, we’ve developed a more resilient, enterprise-grade approach to data privacy.
What’s different about it?
Our proprietary DBR Engine uses AI to understand the unique opt-out workflow for each site's takedown process. This allows the system to adapt to changes in real-time, continuously improving data detection and removal without compromising executive privacy.
The result is a service that is more durable than competitor solutions, with the ability to keep pace as the digital landscape evolves.
Key Benefits
Adaptive Intelligence: Data broker interfaces are designed to defeat automated removal tools. Our AI agents are built to "out-think" broker evasion tactics in real-time.
Enterprise-Grade Protection: Where other services depend on slow manual cycles or basic automation, our solution delivers the efficacy—adaptive, efficient, and targeted—essential for high-profile individuals.
Integrity-First Reporting: We track only verified, site-level data removal completions. Members also receive a real-time feed detailing every exposure found through successful removal.
A Unified Security Posture: Privacy requires synchronized, not siloed, solutions. Our approach integrates OSINT monitoring, search suppression, and data broker removal. While we systematically delete your personally identifiable information (PII) at the source, search suppression provides immediate coverage by pushing exposed PII out of public view (search results). All services are reinforced by expert, human support.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this new version cost more? No. All current plans qualify for this upgraded DBR feature.
How will my reporting change? The new DBR feature reports on verified removal of your data at the site level, rather than the profile level (e.g. "All your personal information has been removed from DataBrokerSiteABC.com"). This provides a more complete and accurate measure of your privacy status.
How is my data protected with the new AI? The AI model is strictly trained on site takedown processes. It does NOT use client personal data for training, nor is your personal data stored within the AI model itself.
What is your strategy for site coverage? We focus on the brokers that present the highest risk to executives and their families. While we have excellent site coverage, we do not "chase site counts." Instead, we proactively remove data from the places that matter most and continue to expand our reach where it provides the most security value.
Reporting:
Within the BlackCloak application under "Privacy" you will find your "Exposed Personal Data" reporting (Note: The Data Broker Removal tool is what is working to remove your exposed personal data).
When you click "view details" you will find a simple breakdown of sites we have successfully removed your data from and sites we have requested removal from and are in-progress.
