An urgent, sophisticated six-stage exploit chain is currently being used by state-sponsored actors to compromise iPhones.
The Threat:
Target: Devices running iOS 18.4 through 18.7.
Zero-Click: Infection occurs simply by visiting a compromised website; no downloads or user interaction are required.
Capabilities: Dismantles iOS security to steal encrypted messages, financial credentials, location data, and private media.
Stealth: Features automated cleanup mechanisms to delete crash logs and evade forensic detection.
Stay Protected:
Update Immediately: Install the latest iOS version via Settings > General > Software Update. (Legacy devices should look for iOS 18.7.6 or specific security patches).
Enable Lockdown Mode: If you are a high-risk user, activate this in Privacy & Security to block the web technologies DarkSword exploits.
Practice Browser Caution: Avoid unsolicited links and verify "clone" websites.
Automate Defenses: Ensure Automatic Updates are toggled ON.
