What to do if LexisNexis sent you mail

Edited

You may receive mail from LexisNexis as a result of our enhanced Data Broker Removal tool. Should this occur, please be assured that there is no cause for concern. The communication is legitimate, and it is in fact a positive indicator.

This mail confirms that our newly enhanced Data Broker Removal (DBR) tool is effectively removing your personal information from data broker sites. The letter is LexisNexis acknowledging the data removal request that BlackCloak has submitted on your behalf.

You may also receive an alternative letter stating they couldn’t find your information and request additional verification (e.g. your driver's license) to re-attempt processing. You are not required to take any action in this case either. BlackCloak is already submitting removal requests on your behalf.

As always, should you receive any communication that appears suspicious, please forward it to us. Confirming potentially suspect mail is precisely the right course of action.
