Extending Impersonation Protection beyond your BlackCloak plan

Circle of trust is available as part of the Impersonation Protection paid add-on. Ask your BlackCloak account team about adding Impersonation Protection to your plan.

Circle of trust extends Impersonation Protection to anyone you trust, even if they're not on your BlackCloak plan: a financial advisor, attorney, household manager, adult child, or anyone else who regularly contacts you about important matters. Once someone is in your circle of trust, you can each confirm one another's identity in real time, right from your phones. It works both ways: you can confirm them, and they can confirm you.

Impersonation Protection lets BlackCloak members on your plan confirm each other's identity before acting on a sensitive request. But the people scammers most often impersonate (a wealth advisor asking for a wire, an assistant asking for a password, a family member asking for help in an emergency) usually aren't on your plan. They're part of your personal life, not your household or organization account.

AI-generated deepfakes are making these scams harder to catch. Circle of trust closes that gap by extending the same real-time confirmation to anyone you choose regardless of if they are a BlackCloak member.

Add anyone who regularly contacts you about money, legal, or medical matters, especially someone who could be impersonated. Common examples:

• Financial advisors: discuss your accounts, investments, or transfers.

• Attorneys: handle sensitive legal or estate matters.

• Household staff and assistants: speak or act on your behalf.

• Family members: spouse, adult children, or other close family.

• Private bankers: relationship managers at your financial institutions.

• Medical professionals: physicians or specialists involved in your care.

When you invite someone, they get a scoped version of the BlackCloak app built for one purpose: confirming communications with you.

They can't see your account, data, alerts, or anything else in BlackCloak, only your name and your shared confirmation history. No other part of the app is shown to them, and there's nothing to buy or upgrade.
